Hi, I’m Andy. I have lived in Jackson Hole for 25 years. I’m a fishing guide and skier primarily and love to backcountry ski.

I'm starting this fundraiser for Horacio Garcia, who was born and raised in Victor, Idaho. Horacio commutes daily to Jackson to work in the service industry.

Horacio was hit by an avalanche while commuting on Teton Pass 9 years ago and has never been compensated for the total loss of his vehicle and the loss of his health (chronic neck and back pain).

Horacio can barely snowboard one day a year and has to work in pain daily.

This event was investigated and no one was held responsible, so no insurance payments were ever issued, and Horacio was left with injuries and a totaled car.

I'm here starting this fundraiser as a backcountry skier who cares about motorists' and other skiers' safety when I’m in the mountains.

Even though only one of us made an error in judgment and hurt this innocent motorist, can’t all of us please donate whatever we can to help Horacio now?

This valley takes care of their own, and Horacio has been from here his whole life.
