EATON FIRE-Support Rebekah & The Herd Ministry after tragedy

Donation protected
Rebekah has always been a selfless light in her community, dedicating her life to helping others. Whether working with the homeless, foster kids, mentoring interns, or visiting cancer patients and human trafficking survivors (Dream Center) with her beloved mini therapy horses, larger therapy horses, her kindness has touched countless lives.

Now, Rebekah needs our help. A devastating fire burned her residence down with everything in it. All the structures where she boarded her horses are down to ash. Tragically, one of her therapy minis “Promise” passed away from smoke inhalation.

During the evacuation, the transmission on her vehicle failed, leaving us without a way to pull the horse trailer. Desperate and with flames looming overhead and thick smoke making it nearly impossible to see, we had to rely on the hope that someone else could step in at the last minute to help us save the horses. Thankfully, we found someone with a truck to save the day, stepping in at the last minute risking his life to help us pull the trailer and get the horses to safety.

Rebekah is not one to ask for help, but this loss has left her with nothing. While generous individuals have offered physical goods, there is currently no place to store them.

If you’ve ever experienced the warmth of Rebekah’s generosity, now is the time to give back. Every contribution will help her rebuild her life, get a tow vehicle, provide shelter for her remaining horses, housing needs, give veterinary care, and allow her to continue her incredible ministry work in the community. Through this hardship, she wants to help the community thru our collective grief.

Please give today through this GoFundMe. Thank you for supporting Rebekah in her time of need.

HUGS FOR HOPE

Below is Hope’s story about her eye cyst surgery, which was the original purpose of this GoFundMe.
HOPE - our 9 year old miniature therapy horse needs help.

She has a dentigerous cyst in her right temporal lobe. This cyst causes drainage to leak on her face, as well as constant eye and some nasal leakage. As a mini horse, her head cavity is small. The cyst contains calcified tooth matter that could puncture the calvarium, the structure that protects her brain.

It’s painful for her. Imagine constant pressure in your head.

She needs corrective surgery to bring a healthier outlook for her future so she can continue her unique work bringing HOPE and healing to those in hospitals and the community where she has done more than 100 therapy visits. Her well mannered behavior makes her a popular visitor on her mission to help others!

PLEASE share her story and consider giving to help her get back to her spunky self.
