On Sunday evening, Hope went into Memorial Hospital with severe stomach pain. She was sent home with a diagnosis of diverticulitis and told she would be okay. By Monday morning, her condition had worsened, and she went to Toppinash Hospital. There, doctors discovered she had a perforation in her bowel, and she was admitted.
For a few days, it seemed like she was improving, but by Friday evening the tear had progressed into a larger hole, allowing fecal matter to leak into her abdomen. This led to a serious infection and she was rushed into emergency surgery.
After a 5-hour operation, Hope is now in the ICU. She remains intubated and in a medically induced coma to help her lungs heal and to give her body time to recover. She now has an ostomy bag, and it’s unclear how long she will need to remain hospitalized.
This will be a long journey of healing. Since Hope is self-employed, missing work creates a heavy financial burden on top of her medical struggles. We are asking for support—whether through donations, prayers, or simply sharing her story—as she fights her way back to health.
Do you want me to shape this into a GoFundMe-style fundraiser post (more emotional/personal), or into a professional health update for family/friends (clear and factual)?
