Hello all, my name is Hope. I’m a single mom who’s out of work for two weeks due to emergency gallbladder surgery. My surgeon said that my gallbladder was one of the worst he’d seen; it was so inflamed and infected. I think I had been neglecting the pain to make sure I provided for me and my son. Any little bit will help to cover bills while I’m in recovery. My leave is unpaid sick because I’ve only been working for the city for 10 months. So this will help to cover costs for me and my kiddo during this time. I’ve already missed a week of work and am out of sick time due to taking off when my son has been sick prior months.
