Support Honey's Fight Against Cancer

UPDATE: All the prayers and positive wishes must have worked. the vets are even baffled. Honey got to go home yesterday after a week and a day in the pet hospital!!!

It turns out the fluid in her abdomen wasn’t blood, but they are still baffled to what it is and what caused it so they sent it out for testing.

Shes not out of the woods but this is a huge win. The fluid has gone away and they’ve done ultrasounds and everything now looks clear. What they thought was a tumor isn’t there.

She has a UTI which is strange considering she’s been on fluids on week.

But for now HONEY IS HOME ♥️ keep the well wishes going that whatever this was that caused this stays at bay.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR THE LOVE AND SUPPORT

On August 5th, Honey and Knox were found tied up with cable and dumped in Cadence in the middle of the Las Vegas summer heat.

Honey, the Rottweiler, was just bred because she was still lactating and she was severely emaciated on top of that.

They were brought to the Henderson Animal Shelter by a neighbor who started the name, Honey because of her sweet demeanor.

I volunteer at this shelter and my neighbor asked me to check on her. The following day while at the shelter I rushed to meet Honey and she was what her name says, so sweet.

She was weak and in a ball, scared of the environment, but once she saw me her little nub of a tail wouldn’t stop and she let me love on her through the gate and I knew I had to get her out.

I posted her, blasted her everywhere… but her new home came unexpectedly. I showed my co-worker her picture, she gasped at the image of her skin and bones. Told me to hold on so she could call her husband. She was back at my desk within 10minutes saying “We are going to take her.”

My mom and I got her from the shelter and watched her for a week while her new family was out of state, and boy did we fall in love with her. Her fun demeanor, day 1 giving us instant trust and rolling on her belly for rubs, cuddling in bed at night with my mom.. she is a girl that is worth all the love in the world.

She goes home and her family is in love, and her new dog brother loves her too. They all opened their hearts and home to Honey and love her unconditionally.

Honey finally got her happily ever after and a loving family, until 2 months into her new home she was rushed to the vet. They found a tumor on her spleen and the diagnosis does not seem good. Especially with all the blood in her abdomen.

Currently it is being sent out for biopsy, but odds lean that it is cancer called Hemangiosarcoma. BUT, there is still a fight and still hope. Miracles happen, we need prayers.

Unfortunately, Honeys pet insurance doesn’t kick in until 12/1/24. I’m creating this gofundme to help them. They are clouded with worry, and this won’t fix Honey but it will show them they have a community backing them, that she is so loved and it is something so they can worry about one less thing while they battle this along side with Honey.
