For the past several months, you may have noticed how inactive I’ve been with my brand, Honey’s Apparel. Honey’s Apparel launched in 2019; the first 2.5 years were amazing, and for that, I’m forever grateful. However, during the latter half, my business faced many challenges. One of the biggest challenges is identity theft, which I briefly shared with my supporters here.
On top of the fraud going on, the move caused inventory discrepancies. From 2024 until now, I've had to make major moves with my inventory about 3 times. Everything had to be temporarily paused. Although I wanted to work, my body wouldn't allow it.
This year (January), I was informed that I got accepted into an 18-month career advancement program. For me, this is my second chance at reviving my business, but this time around with the guidance and mentorship that I need for Honey's Apparel. The total amount for this program is $8,500. I'm fundraising $12,000 in total; the remainder will be used for transportation and any miscellaneous expenses I may need to support me on this journey of financial recovery and security.
In addition to this program, I’m also starting school this fall, majoring in Fashion Business Management at FIT. This decision reflects my deep commitment to growing my brand with a strong foundation in both creative direction and business strategy. I want to ensure that Honey’s Apparel not only thrives but continues to redefine the Y2K era through inclusivity within my pieces.
Your support means a lot to me!
