My name is Afshin Nariman, and I’m the independent journalist behind the YouTube channel UpozitTV.

Since June 2013, I’ve been creating content in Farsi for a global audience seeking honest, uncensored, and in-depth analysis on issues often ignored by mainstream media.

UpozitTV launched with a weekly show called “Upozit” (meaning “opposite”), a political satire program offering alternative perspectives to the dominant media narratives. Over the years, Upozit has become the cornerstone of my independent journalism.

Beyond satire, I’ve developed a diverse range of content, from U.S. and Iranian history to deep dives into Iranian culture and society, all with one mission: to inform, empower, and inspire the Persian-speaking community through accurate and thought-provoking journalism.

I have remained completely independent, never accepting funding from any government or political organization. While this independence keeps my work honest, it also means I depend entirely on personal resources and the support of viewers like you.

من روزنامه‌نگار مستقلی هستم که کانال یوتیوب آپوزیت

را اداره می‌کنم. از ژوئن ۲۰۱۳، من به زبان فارسی برای مخاطبان جهانی که به دنبال تحلیل‌های صادقانه، بدون سانسور و عمیق در مورد مسائلی هستند که اغلب توسط رسانه‌های جریان اصلی نادیده گرفته می‌شوند، محتوا تولید می‌کنم.

کارم را با یک برنامه طنز سیاسی بنام آپوزیت(به معنای مخالف) که بطور هفتگی تهیه و منتشر میشدآغاز کردم.در طول این سال‌ها، آپوزیت به سنگ بنای روزنامه‌نگاری مستقل من تبدیل شده است.

فراتر از طنز، من طیف متنوعی از محتوا را توسعه داده‌ام، از تاریخ ایالات متحده و ایران گرفته تا کاوش‌های عمیق در فرهنگ و جامعه ایران، همه با یک ماموریت: اطلاع‌رسانی، توانمندسازی و الهام بخشیدن به جامعه فارسی زبان از طریق روزنامه‌نگاری دقیق و تأمل‌برانگیز.

من کاملاً مستقل مانده‌ام و هرگز از هیچ دولت یا سازمان سیاسی بودجه‌ای نپذیرفته‌ام. در حالی که این استقلال، کار من را صادقانه نگه می‌دارد، به این معنی است که من کاملاً به منابع شخصی و حمایت بینندگانی مانند شما وابسته هستم.
