My name is Holly, and I’m asking for help during the hardest time of my life. I hope you’ll read this. I’m living with a traumatic brain injury caused by a teenage driver who was texting. Since then, I’ve had five additional head injuries, leaving me with severe anxiety, executive dysfunction, memory loss, difficulty organizing anything, and chronic insomnia. Because my injury isn’t visible, it’s hard for people to understand. I am isolated. I also face complex medical issues involving Munchausen by proxy as a child, which led to long-term health consequences. Over time, this has contributed to a weakened immune system. In recent years, I’ve lost my son and my mother to suicide, my grandmother—my safe haven—and several other close family members. A year before my son died, he survived a suicide attempt that left him paraplegic at 21. At the time I thought this has got be the worst thing that could ever happen. Clearly, it wasn't. The grief and anguish of losing time is constant and beyond words. I once owned a successful sports massage clinic serving over 5,000 clients. After losing my business during COVID, my checking/savings were taken to cover business debt and I’ve been homeless nearly three years.

I’m seeking help to:
• Secure accessible housing for surgery recovery
• Cover essential medications not covered by Medicaid
• Rent where I’ve been allowed to stay with my service dog in a commercial space
• Prevent losing access to my storage unit with medicine and medical supplies
• Maintain my car, phone, and my service dog’s care
• Repair and insure my car (I have the parts)
• Pay camper storage and restore it for future housing (supplies already purchased)
• Rearrange my space to create a small wellness area so I can earn limited income during recovery
