Introduction:
My name is Holly. For about 12 years, I have always thought of myself as trans without truly understanding what it meant. I am 24 and finally came out about 3 years ago. I am a woman trying my best to survive, but I live with many medical conditions that make life harder.
Tariffs on pharmaceuticals are promised and will make it harder for me to survive once they go through, as I require medications to even survive.
At the age of 16, I received a kidney from my mom, and it is the only working kidney I have. Many of the medications listed in the images below help ensure the cells in my body recognize the kidney as mine and not foreign, preventing them from attacking it. It is with my utmost respect and love for
my mother, but also my own survival as a person, that I am requesting help as a trans woman before more laws pass that target me and other trans people, and before these tariffs on medications hit, so I can do everything I can to leave this country.
Plan:
My main plan is to hopefully move to Belgium, as it is rich in medical resources and happiness among its people. I happen to know some people out there, which could make integrating much easier for me. Belgium is one of the few places in the world that can handle both my trans healthcare and ensure everything else wrong with me is also taken care of, especially my kidneys. I will need the money to help acquire at least an apartment to stay in long-term and to give me enough time to hopefully find work out there.
Conclusion:
I understand right now it is hard times for everyone, and if you come across this and can't help but want to, there is no shame in that. All I can ask is that you bring it to people who can or would want to help with my current situation. Thank you all for understanding <3
