Holly Lamb-Rybicki was your average working class citizen. She is a mom to 5 kids and a grandma to 3. She worked as a home health aid and also was a vendor for two other companies. Unfortunately, early October 2024, after a few months of symptoms all of that changed; Holly was diagnosed with cancer. She did all the chemo, radiation and anything else she could to stop the spread and find relief from the constant pain. At one of her check ups in 2025, she learned that the cancer had metastasized and spread. Since then her doctors have only been able to treat the symptoms of the cancer and not the cancer itself. Stating it was too large and in a difficult spot to operate on. Now as of 2026, she has to have an ostomy bag installed, as the cancer has blocked her colon off completely. Once again treating the symptom and not the cause. Holly lives in a great deal of pain on a regular basis and everyday life is getting harder and harder to handle. Her kidneys are weak from the cancer treatment, she is retaining water and unable to eat. Holly has been unable to perform most of her job duties and therefore isn’t making enough to survive. This has taken a toll on her not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. Her youngest is in 3rd grade and needs his mom. Parenting is hard to begin with but add cancer and it's a whole new level of hard. She is applying for disability, however, that will not be enough to pay the debt already incurred or all of the treatments going forward.
Despite all of this, her faith has remained strong and she has taken her daughter and her 2(soon to be 3) kids in while she navigates her own divorce. Holly has been researching cancer clinics and has found two possible doctors willing to help. (One being a doctor in Pennsylvania and the other an experimental doctor in Mexico.) Throughout the last year and a half she has been battling this Holly has proven to be a fighter and a faithful servant of God. She is kind and resilient and has always offered a helping hand when she can.
We, as her friends and church family, are coming today to ask for some help as she continues to fight this battle and hopefully get a doctor willing to tackle the problem and not just the symptoms. Sadly, we know that this isn’t a single person problem and that millions are struggling with health and money concerns. We will be looking to do other benefits in her honor as we can to help alleviate some of the financial burden, but any amount will help. All money raised will go directly to Holly for her everyday needs and for her treatments.
Thank you all and God Bless!
