Hello … I’m Holly Preiato and I’m battling stage 4A Cervical Cancer. I have a 5 inch wide round tumor which is stuck between my rectum and cervix, which means it has already spread to the surrounding areas and has caused a lot of damage as it’s probably been there for a few years. I’ve already had my first surgery, which was a colostomy bag diversion, because the tumor has broken through my vaginal wall into my rectum. I have already started my various heavy duty chemo treatments in hopes of shrinking the tumor first because it too big for the radiation treatment window. Once it’s hopefully shrunk, radiation treatments and more chemo will be needed. I will need a second surgery to remove the tumor and a full hysterectomy. I will also need dual colostomy bags for the rest of my life. My cancer diagnosis is only five months after our 14 year old daughter needed emergency brain surgery due to a hemorrhage and brain bleeding out of the blue.
