Just to update everyone, since creating this go fund me, Holly got very sick. She was admitted to the hospital very early this morning and needed to undergo surgery after experiencing severe stomach pain and getting nauseous for over 24 hours straight. She had a bowel obstruction and was severely dehydrated upon admission to the hospital. Her surgery was urgent and she is currently recovering from a huge incision from her abdomen up to her chest. All the prayers are needed right now as she is in a tremendous amount of pain. Any message you can send to her to help cheer her on will help ❤️

If cancer has touched you or a loved one, I hope you can take a minute to consider helping my dear friend Holly in her battle against Leukemia. Holly and I have been friends for almost 19 years. She was my very first military spouse friend from when we were both living in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. At the time, we were both in excellent health, and she was the reason I signed up for my very first half marathon in Oklahoma City. We shared many miles, hills, laughs, sweat, and sometimes even a few tears together. Her passion for life, people, and chasing dreams is still a huge part of her personality and character.

Currently though, Holly is fighting an uphill battle against leukemia and, despite her best efforts, it’s beginning to become insurmountable to keep going on, financially. Her loving husband, Wade is a police officer and is picking up as much overtime as he possibly can because the cancer has forced them to become a single income family. Holly has two beautiful daughters, and while she wants to continue to do everything she can to beat this horrible disease, her biggest fear is leaving this world AND leaving her loved ones in a mountain of debt. I know a lot of people are struggling financially right now, but if you can find it in your heart to give even just a little, it would certainly make a big difference.

In addition to batting cancer, I’m also battling stage 3 gastroparesis, which greatly affects my ability to fuel my body properly. While I am committed to undergoing treatment, the financial burden has been overwhelming.
