On Monday, July 21, my sister Holly went to the ER with severe headache, nausea, and vomiting. Unfortunately, imaging in the ER revealed a 3 cm brain mass with the other smaller lesions and swelling in her brain. They suspected lymphoma given her history of lymphoma in 2021. She underwent biopsy of the mass on Friday, July 25. Later that same day, she became unresponsive and was intubated.
We praise the Lord that she is improving; however, she still has a long battle ahead of her.
She is on tube feeds for now, requires assistance to even sit on the bedside, and her confusion waxes and wanes. She is no longer on the ventilator. We were able to take her kids in to see her today, and she recognized each of them.
She is waiting to be transferred to a larger university hospital, where she will hopefully start chemotherapy.
We are clinging to the Lord, and know that He loves Holly far more than we ever could. We know that she is in His hands and this did not surprise Him. We are praying for her complete healing and thank each of you for your prayers as well.
“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: His truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”
Psalm 91:1-4
