Support Holly’s pituitary tumor

My name is Lucas and I’m raising funds for my girlfriend Holly. We first met in March 2023, and in May 2024, our lives changed and we began a new journey together.

Holly Riley, born June 25, 1991, recently became aware of medical issues that have been impacting her life. In February 2023, she was diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism, Graves’ disease, and thyroid eye disease. Piecing this diagnosis together, aspects of her life started making sense. She continued to strive to do the best she could as a mother to her baby boy, Jackson. She continued working as a nurse and has always had a passion for helping others. In November 2024, the nodules on her thyroid had doubled in size, and she received a diagnosis of Hashimoto Thyroiditis (or autoimmune thyroiditis). Our quick-thinking doctors noticed the rarity of these diseases developing so quickly and ordered an MRI of the brain. We found out she has a pituitary adenoma, which is a brain tumor. Our doctors gave us a referral to a neurosurgeon for removal of the tumor. We are waiting for a decision to remove the thyroid, but it’s likely that will happen next. Holly’s conditions have been rapidly progressing; her mental clarity, balance, vision, and motor skills have been greatly affected. She is no longer able to work as a nurse and has gone on unpaid medical leave. She is hoping to get back to her passion for nursing as soon as it is safe to do so.

We are feeling the financial impact these issues have been causing us and are asking for your support, whether it’s financial or by spreading this message to friends and family. Funds will be used for medical appointments, medications, and essential living expenses. We will keep everyone updated along this journey and are looking into other avenues to document her progress and show appreciation to the ones helping us.
