Our dear Holly Chavez has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. Holly is a devoted single mother of two hardworking young adults, Alley and Alejandro, who each of the three, work full time to help support Holly's household and manage everyday expenses. Even before treatment has begun, the financial burden has become overwhelming. After undergoing an MRI through her employer-provided insurance, Holly was faced with significant out-of-pocket costs that had to be paid before she could proceed with needed testing.

We are encouraging Holly to seek a second opinion at one of the specialized cancer treatment centers in Atlanta. While this would require traveling approximately three hours each way, or forty-five minutes each way for in-town care, she seeks access to the best possible treatment options, which is incredibly important at this critical time. Whether she ultimately receives treatment close to home or at a specialized center, we want her to have every opportunity to make informed decisions and receive the highest quality care available.

The costs associated with cancer treatment can add up quickly—medical bills, surgeries, medications, travel expenses, and time away from work. Most importantly, we ask for your prayers for Holly, Alley, and Alejandro as they process this difficult news, make important decisions, and navigate the road ahead.
