Hi everyone,
I never imagined having to write something like this, but our family is going through a really difficult time and we’re asking for help.
Our mom, Holli, was recently diagnosed with Stage II A non-small cell lung cancer. While we are thankful it was caught at a stage where treatment is possible, the road ahead is going to be long and physically demanding.
She will be undergoing lung surgery, followed by four rounds of chemotherapy, and then a full year of immunotherapy. On top of that, she will have frequent scans, follow-ups, and appointments throughout this entire process.
Our mom works a physically demanding job as a laborer at a trailer plant, and because of the intensity of her treatment and recovery, she will have to miss work occasionally. This combined with ongoing medical expenses, is going to put a significant financial strain on her.
She will also need to travel nearly 2 hours round trip for many of her treatments and appointments, which adds even more cost and stress over the coming months.
If you know our mom, you know how strong, loving, and selfless she is. She has always been been the one to show up for others, even complete strangers, without hesitation - and now it’s our turn to show up for her.
We are asking for any support you can give—whether it’s a donation, a share, or keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Every single bit helps more than we can express and will go directly toward her medical expenses, travel, and helping her stay afloat while she focuses on fighting this.
We will continue to post updates along the way so you can follow her journey.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for supporting our family during this time.
With love,
Lizzie, Mykayla, Caleb, and Mackenzie.
