Holistic Healing for Meg's Autoimmune Disease

Hi Folks,

I really need some help… which is a very difficult thing for me to say. I’m not accustomed to having help and have always faced challenges on my own. I thought I would put this out there nonetheless.

I’ve been dealing with an autoimmune disease and its ongoing complications for about 35 years. I saw my first gastroenterologist when I was 5 and have been seeing doctors more or less ever since. I was diagnosed with celiac disease when I was 25, and although this discovery was a game changer and allowed me to have some degree of control over my symptoms, I’ve continued struggling with various issues that I don’t have answers for. In addition to it affecting every facet of my day-to-day life, I’ve seen countless doctors and had countless procedures, all to no avail. I’ve also been mocked, told I was crazy, or that there’s ‘nothing wrong with me’ by doctors (mostly men). As a result, I’ve been my own advocate and educator, which is difficult to do on one’s own. Unfortunately, it’s created a deep distrust of doctors and western medicine altogether.

Long story short, I need to see a naturopath, so I can start a holistic healing process that will identify and address the root causes, not just make the symptoms go away. They won’t, spoiler. My health insurance won’t cover these types of appointments or practices (most types don’t). I have a special case that will likely need to be tackled from multiple angles, so I believe this is the best approach for me. In my initial consultation with a naturopath, I was able to experience some hope because she understood exactly what I was saying.

I know times are hard and there are insurmountable problems in the world, so it feels dumb asking for money. But even if it’s a very small amount, I would be extremely grateful. I can’t emphasize enough how much my entire life has been affected by this. The idea of possibly healing once and for all seems too good to be true, and I don’t want to give up just yet. The amount of funds I'm asking for will cover:

-an initial comprehensive naturopathic appointment

-the creation of an individualized plan

-any necessary testing

-nutritional and herbal supplements

-homeopathic remedies

-dietary supplements

-topical applications

-general supplies

-several follow up appointments
