Update: Hodaya has underwent many different type of treatments and chemotherapy over the last 9 months. Many of which have been unsuccessful in controlling the growth of the tumor. There is one last treatment she can attempt to save her life. However the cost of the treatment is 200,000 USD. We don’t have much time left. We are trying to collect as much as we can to save our cousins life.

In late June, our beautiful and kind-hearted 21-year-old cousin, Hodaya, was diagnosed with Diffuse Midline Glioma (DMG), one of the most aggressive and deadly forms of brain cancer.

This type of tumor is considered one of the most dangerous forms of cancer because of its location in the midline of the brain, which regulates vital functions such as breathing and heart rate. Due to the sensitive nature of this area, the tumor has been deemed inoperable by doctors in Israel.

The news of her diagnosis was devastating for all of us. Since starting radiation treatment, our family members have taken time off of work to support her. This has caused significant financial strain due to lost income and the high cost of medical care.

We hope to support Hodaya and the rest of her family in Israel by sending them funds to put toward current hospital transportation, meals, and tools to help relieve the discomfort of radiation therapy for Hodaya.

Although the doctors in Israel have given her limited treatment options, physicians and researchers in the US are currently conducting trials for medications specifically targeting DMG. With your support, we can also help Hodaya and her family finance consultations and treatment in the US for this deadly tumor. As she is not a US resident, her medical care in the US would not be covered by her insurance. With financial support, she could travel to the US and participate in the trial, giving her the best chance of treating this aggressive glioma.

Hodaya has always prioritized helping people in their time of need. After the attack in Israel on October 7th, she volunteered at hospitals helping those injured. So, we hope to be able to support her just as she supported so many victims and ensure that she can recover smoothly.
