I am reaching out to ask for support for Alen whom is currently in ICE custody at the California City Detention Center. He has been coming to the United States for approximately 20 years on an H 2A visa, working in agriculture and landscaping. For the past 10 years, he has worked consistently with Norton Creek Farms in Franklin, North Carolina, demonstrating a strong work ethic and long standing commitment to his job and community.
He has been detained since February.Since then, he has remained in custody while we work through his legal process. With the help of an attorney, he was granted a $20,000 bond by an immigration judge. This gives him the opportunity to be released and continue his case outside of detention.
We have already secured $10,000 toward his bond. Two organizations have each committed $5,000. We are now trying to raise the remaining $10,000 needed to secure his release.
He is a hardworking individual who has spent years contributing to agriculture in the United States. Being detained for this long has been extremely difficult, and our goal is to bring him home as soon as possible so he can continue working and supporting himself while his case moves forward.
Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. If you are not able to donate, sharing this page is also greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
