UPDATE: History made: Hingham Robotics is heading to Worlds!
Team 5000, the Hammerheads, just ranked an incredible #59 out of 3,724 teams worldwide and #8 in New England. Now, we need your help to get this dedicated group of students to the World Championship in Houston (April 29–May 2).
How you can help: Please consider donating and sharing this gofundme with your network. Let’s reach our goal, get the team to Texas, and fuel our momentum for next season.
A massive thank you to our community for all the support so far!
Help the Hingham FRC 5000 Hammerheads Make a Championship Run!
This award-winning team of dedicated high school students and the robot they created needs our community’s support to battle through this fast-paced playoff season. Your tax-deductible gift purchases critical materials, supports travel and logistics, and funds significant registration fees. Corporate sponsorships are also needed! Every dollar goes directly to the team, providing hands-on STEM experiences that change lives.
Our Championship Funding Goals:
Goal 1: Raise $6000 for Districts. This ensures we can compete in our upcoming April events at WPI (Worcester) and the Eastern States Exposition (West Springfield).
Goal 2: Raise $12,000 for participation in the international FIRST® Championship in Houston (April 29–May 2).
If we do not advance, 100% of these funds will act as vital seed money for our Fall 2026 training season, ensuring this winning legacy continues.
Why We Are Ready to Win:
Our student engineers just had a historic weekend at the URI FIRST Robotics Competition! Going head-to-head against 31 elite regional teams—including several competitive programs from our neighboring towns—the Hingham Hammerheads proved they belong at the top:
-Placed 3rd overall and battled to the playoff semi-finals as the #2 Alliance Captains.
-Won the prestigious Industrial Design Award for having the best combination of form, function, and aesthetics.
-Named a "Top 50 Team to Watch" -- out of 1,500+ weekly North American competitors -- by the YouTube FUN Robotics Network .
