Support Hima Bhattarai's Fight Against Leukemia

I am writing to you today with a heavy heart to ask for your support. My friend Hima Bhattarai recently been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia(AML). AML is one of the rarest cancer, where bone marrow stops producing enough blood counts in our body which results in not having enough blood supply and less RBC, WBC, and Platelets counts. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi, India. It already has been more than 8th cycle of chemotherapy, as you all know it is not the cure for the cancer but just a first step towards the treatment.

Eventually, She will need to have a stem cell (bone marrow) transplantation, sooner than later. The cost of this treatment is really high, and it has put a significant financial burden on her family. The transplant cost itself is estimated at 25 lakhs INR(Approx. $20,000) and her extended hospital stays and maintenance therapies afterward add to them. There are some viral infections that are guaranteed to happen post-transplant. And there is an added costs on top of everything. I am trying to help her.
