Our family is very sad to share this difficult news. Our mom, Hillary, has been diagnosed with metastatic adenocarcinoma. While there are still many uncertainties ahead, we are seeking help to ensure we can explore all possible options for her care.

Hillary has been enduring severe back pain for several months now. Recently, the pain became so overwhelming that we took her to an undiagnosed clinic, where she suffered a traumatic femur fracture requiring emergency transport to the University of Utah Medical Center. While there, doctors discovered multiple tumors. One tumor caused the femur fracture, while another tumor was pressing on her spinal cord. Hillary underwent surgeries for both her back and femur, with partial removal of the tumors along with hardware put in her leg, hip and spine. Currently, a total of eleven tumors have been identified.

Hillary is recovering from her surgeries and managing her severe pain in a care facility. Radiation therapy for the tumors has begun and chemo therapy will follow in the future. Our main hope is that she can return home as soon as possible.

Hillary is determined, loving, and strong. She has overcome many challenges in her life and is optimistic and committed to conquering her current struggles. If Hillary knows you, you become a part of her family unconditionally. Her heart is open to anyone who needs a mother. Without question or judgement, she takes on the role and responsibility. She welcomes everyone with an open heart and will go to great lengths to support you.

This situation has not only brought uncertainty but has also created a significant financial strain for us. We are reaching out for help to ensure that Hillary finds comfort, has peace of mind, and meets all her needs during this challenging time.
