Hello, I'm John Q Public (Richard Marquez) and I'm hoping to raise money for our Veteran's Memorial located at the intersection of Figueroa St and York Blvd in Highland Park. Unfortunately, the flags at the square are tethered and we desperately need replacements, hopefully before Veteran's Day! We (community group which you are welcome to join) were hoping our city, state and federal representatives would have stepped forward to donate the specified requested flags. Sadly, the request garnered little interest and lots of excuses.
I've gotten prices for an Annin 20x30' American Flag tough-tex polyester flag (made in USA) and a Fortisvex 8'x12' POW-MIA nylon Flag (made in USA). I'm willing to post receipts if allowed to do on this site! Or I will have them on hand at our Veteran's Memorial Community Clean-up on Sunday, November 10th (day before Veteran's Day) Let's come together and honor our deserving veterans!
