Hideaway is a short film created as a proof of concept for a feature film.
The story follows Niamh, lost, lonely and holding onto the past as she writes letters of love with each bouquet she sends. When we meet her, she’s given up her dreams of being a songwriter, however, everything changes when her first love, Sam returns from New York after struggling to get his own big break in music. By chance, they reunite and find the pieces of themselves they thought they’d never see again…

I'm Maximilian Macdonald and I'm collaborating with an incredibly talented group of filmmakers in partnership with Prestige Flowers UK to produce an original short film shooting in England in the Summer of 2025.
We will be working with a shoestring budget but massive passion and ambition to take this film from script to screen, then enter the worlds best festivals so that this impactful story gets to be seen across the world!

Maximilian Macdonald: Actor, Writer, Producer
Max is a multi-hyphenate Artist based between London and New York. He got his start in Acting at 3 years old playing Emily Mortimer and David Tennent's child in the film, Bright Young Things. He graduated from the renowned Actors Studio MFA in 2023 with the Acting Excellence Award. While there, he starred in the acclaimed New York Times "must see" play Dimes Square and since then he’s been involved in various projects including the development and performance of new plays and films.
Janina Picard: Director, Producer
Janina is a brilliant Actor, Director and a highly respected Acting Coach. She's also a Dreamwork practitioner. Janina is known her work in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024), Nosferatu (2024) and Blurred (2025).
Mia McCallum: Actor, Producer
Mia is an incredibly talented British actor most known for her work in McDonald & Dodds (2020) and Endeavour (2012).
