On November 30, 2025, what began as a joyful holiday visit quickly turned into an unexpected crisis. While traveling to North Carolina to celebrate Thanksgiving with family, Heydi Nande was involved in a serious auto accident. She is now in the ICU in critical condition.
Heydi sustained multiple injuries, including a spinal fracture (T12–L2), a punctured kidney, broken ribs, a fractured femur and ankle, ruptured bowels, and internal bleeding. She has already undergone five major surgeries, with more ahead. Her medical team anticipates a minimum six-week hospitalization as she begins the long journey of healing.
Her mother, Evelyn Mira, a devoted single mother of three, immediately traveled to North Carolina to remain by Heydi’s side. This unexpected relocation means Evelyn will be away from work for at least two months, creating financial challenges during an already difficult time.
We are seeking support to help cover:
• Medical expenses
• Ongoing care during her recovery
• Temporary lodging for Evelyn
• Daily necessities during Heydi’s hospitalization
• Travel and transportation costs once Heydi is cleared to return home
Through every challenge, our family remains hopeful, prayerful, and deeply grateful for the progress Heydi has already made. Every prayer, share, and donation is a source of strength and encouragement as we believe in her full restoration.
