Clemson Defensive Tackle Hevin Brown-Shuler was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma after doctors discovered a mass in his chest. While this news came unexpectedly and was difficult for him and his family to receive, Hevin is grateful that the prognosis is very good, and he is approaching this challenge with optimism and determination. Hevin has experienced incredible care and support from the Clemson Community and Pace Academy Community. Because of the people around him, he has been connected with outstanding doctors and has received exceptional medical care, for which he and his family are deeply thankful. To support her son’s long journey, Hevin’s mother has made the difficult decision to temporarily close her business to prioritize being present for Hevin’s daily care, needs and support, including nutrition, travel expenses, weekly doctor visits and more. The Brown-Shuler family is extremely grateful and appreciative of the continued kindness and support everyone has shown by keeping its members lifted in their sincerest of prayers and by their financial support in the form of donations as the family rallies around Hevin and his journey to recovery.
