Pulsa Leer más para mas información / Click on Read more for more information ------------- English Dear friends, family, and kind supporters, I'm Herson Cifuentes, a 36-year-old originally from Guatemala, and I'm reaching out to you during one of the most challenging times in my life with a personal story and a heartfelt request for support. In February 2025, shortly after returning from a work trip, I began to feel unwell. What initially appeared to be a simple flu quickly progressed into pneumonia, leading to my hospitalization. During my stay, doctors discovered a tumor in my left lung. After a series of tests, I received the diagnosis of lung cancer. On April 21st, I underwent a significant surgery, a left lower lobectomy with mediastinal lymph node dissection, to remove the tumor. The surgery was successful, and I am truly grateful to be on the path to recovery. However, this marks only the beginning of my journey toward healing. To continue my treatment and give myself the best chance at healing, I now need to undergo a series of additional treatments, including chemotherapy. Unfortunately, the costs are substantial being each chemotherapy session $4,000 USD, and I need 6 sessions. This is in addition to other ongoing medical expenses and treatments. These expenses are beyond what I can manage alone. Though I am someone who typically keeps personal matters private, I've realized the importance of reaching out and leaning on others in times of need. This is why I am turning to my community, friends, family, as well as any other compassionate individuals who may feel moved and willing to support me. If you are able to contribute in any way, whether financially or by sharing this campaign with others, it would mean the world to me. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps alleviate the overwhelming financial burden and allows me to focus on healing. Every bit truly makes a difference. Me dirijo a ustedes en uno de los momentos más desafiantes de mi vida con una historia personal y una solicitud sincera de apoyo. En febrero de 2025, poco después de regresar de un viaje de trabajo, comencé a sentirme mal. Lo que inicialmente parecía ser una simple gripe rápidamente se convirtió en neumonía, lo que llevó a una hospitalización. Durante mi estancia, los médicos descubrieron un tumor en mi pulmón izquierdo. Tras una serie de pruebas, recibí el diagnóstico de cáncer de pulmón. El 21 de abril, me sometí a una cirugía significativa, una lobectomía inferior izquierda con disección de ganglios linfáticos mediastínicos, para extirpar el tumor. La cirugía fue exitosa y estoy verdaderamente agradecido de estar en el camino hacia la recuperación. Sin embargo, esto marca solo el comienzo de mi recuperación. Para continuar mi tratamiento y tener la mejor oportunidad de sanar, ahora necesito someterme a una serie de tratamientos adicionales, incluida quimioterapia.
