We are Evan and Abby Hockensmith. We live in Bowling Green, KY and we had just gotten to our airbnb in NC for vacation when our dogs Herro and Nala were chasing each other and jumped over a sharp tree stump on the ground which very badly tore a lot of skin off of one of each of their Legs. Nala's wound is VERY bad. We could see a lot of bone, tendon, and more. Nala lost a good amount of blood but she seems to have stabilized. Amputation was mentioned but the surgeon thinks we've avoided that. My wife, Abby is still in school in her master's program and is unable to work much with that and we do not have much money.
