A few years ago, Heriberto made a promise to himself: “I’m going to be a professional longboarder on the Championship Tour of the WSL.” Over the last two years, I’ve watched Heri completely reinvent himself to achieve this dream. From his diet and how he spends his free time, to his financial choices, training, and overall discipline—his dedication shines through in every wave he rides.
But reaching the top isn’t just about talent and hard work. To compete at the highest level, Heriberto must participate in the World Surf League’s Qualifying Series. This means traveling across the world and facing the steep costs of hotels, food, and international flights—especially with the extra charges for 9-foot surfboards. These expenses often keep some of the world’s most talented surfers from chasing their dreams.
In just one week, Heri will be competing in the WSL’s Qualifying Series in the Philippines. We’ve managed to raise enough for his flight, but we’re reaching out to friends, family, fellow surfers, the Sayulita community, and anyone who believes in supporting a dream. Imagine being talented and hardworking, but lacking the resources to take the next step. They say many hands make light work—a little bit from a lot of us could truly change Heriberto’s life. Thank you so much for your support. ¡Ánimo a todos!
