Support Her Passion After Show Setback

Instead of showing her cow for FFA at Wylie Show and Sale, she spent the night in the hospital.

The night before her scheduled show, our daughter was helping unload her cow when he pulled her off the trailer, causing her to fall hard and hit her head. Then, just one night later, while preparing her cow for the show, he got spooked and trampled her before escaping into the nearby baseball fields near Wylie High. She was taken to the hospital, where she spent the night and was unable to compete.

Because she couldn’t show, she wasn’t eligible to earn a buckle or put her cow through the auction. We were fortunate to find a buyer afterward, but the private sale didn’t bring in the funds she had worked all season to earn. Her goal was to purchase a saddle—about $2,500—so she could continue pursuing her passion for horseback riding.

She’s dedicated her senior year to working with horses, improving her skills, and preparing to take that passion with her into college. A saddle and the necessary gear are essential tools for her continued progress.

We're asking for support from our community to help her move forward from this unexpected setback and continue doing what she loves most.

Assuming she is medically cleared, she hopes to resume riding next month at the Arrowheart Ranch Horse Show.

Thank you for helping a young rider get back in the saddle.
