I’m currently in the fight of my life, undergoing treatment for bladder cancer. Each week brings a challenging 7-hour chemotherapy session, which will continue through July. After that, we’ll do a PET scan to see if the cancer has responded to treatment. If things go well, I’ll have a short window before traveling to Portland, Oregon, where I’ll undergo robotic surgery to remove my bladder and all of my female reproductive organs.

This journey has been incredibly tough—physically, emotionally, and financially. I’ve poured everything I had into continuing work for as long as I could, but now I find myself relying on the kindness and generosity of others to help cover rent and basic living expenses while I focus on healing.

My family and I are holding onto hope for a full recovery between October and December of this year, 2025. We dream of brighter days ahead—and for me, that includes returning to my calling as an addictions recovery counselor, a role that brings me deep joy and purpose.
