Hi everyone,

I'm Noemi Ira, a recent college graduate from CU Boulder, and as part of my next step, I'm going to volunteer with Her Future Coalition (HFC) in September! HFC is an incredible organization dedicated to transforming the lives of survivors of gender-based violence and at-risk girls in Kenya, India, and Nepal. Since 2005, Her Future has been breaking the cycle of poverty and exploitation through education, vocational training, and holistic support services. In college, I had the chance to partner with HFC through a student run public health organization I led called HEAL. Over the last two years, we've supported HFC through fundraising, advocacy, and education, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to be able to continue my work with them in the fall.

This September, I’ll be traveling to Kenya and India to volunteer for four months. As someone deeply passionate about health equity, systems and community level change, and the arts, I’m fundraising to provide art supplies and educational materials for the young girls in Samburu, Kenya and Kolkata, India, where I’ll be volunteering.

With your support, we’ll be able to:

Paint a community mural that celebrates resilience and identity
Lead art and creative workshops that offer space for healing and expression
Support educational and leadership activities that empower girls to become change makers in their communities

Access to education and vocational training
Holistic care, including counseling and mentorship from within the community
Safe spaces for girls to grow, heal, and lead

Every donation makes a meaningful difference. In many of the communities we’re working with, girls face the risk of early marriage, trafficking, and harmful traditional practices like female genital mutilation (FGM). These are deeply rooted systemic issues, and local advocates have been working courageously to create change from within. Your support will help us continue to amplify those efforts and voices by providing girls with access to education, creative expression, and resources to reclaim their power and build safer futures for themselves and their communities.
