We are heartbroken to share the sudden loss of our beloved sister, Frieda Davis, who passed away at just 40 years old.

Frieda had recently traveled to Florida to start fresh and rebuild her life. She was three days sober, committed to recovery, and determined to give herself and her children a better future. But tragically, she suffered a lack of oxygen to the brain and was placed on life support. After being declared brain dead by multiple doctors, our family had to make the incredibly painful decision to let her go — a choice led by her brave son, Sahi, who knew in his heart it’s what his mom would have wanted.

Frieda was a beautiful soul — loving, kind, and selfless. Even during her struggles, she gave everything she could to others. She clothed people who had nothing and opened her door to those in need. Her heart was always open.

She leaves behind two children — Sahi and Friona — who now face a future without their mother. Frieda had planned to stay in Florida for her recovery with her son, but now everything has changed. Our family needs to bring her body home to Delaware, where she belongs, and begin the process of healing and rebuilding for her children.
