I'm thrilled to share some exciting news with you all! After three grueling years of battling cancer, I've finally received some much-needed good news. My chemotherapy is working and my tumors have significantly shrunk. I'm overjoyed and feel rejuvenated, ready to tackle this illness head-on. However, with this newfound hope comes the need for more frequent hospital visits, which are four hours away. I'm seeking help to cover the additional travel expenses, as my fixed income and two young boys make it challenging to manage on my own. My fiancé is the one who takes me to and from these appointments and also stays with me while I’m in the hospital. This puts a strain on our finances as he really can’t work at the moment. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way in helping me overcome this obstacle.
Quick back story I was diagnosed with osteosarcoma dec2021. It was found in my right leg near my knee. I had just had my first son in Oct 2021. From there everything went quickly I started chemo but it wasn’t working. I then had a 15 hour surgery in July 2022 to save my leg by removing my tumor along with the bone in my leg. Unfortunately, my cancer kept coming back in that leg. I found out I was pregnant again nov2022. By then I decided to look for new doctors that ended up being 4 hours away. I started seeing them. We did not continue chemo at this time. We just managed pain. We then decided to amputate my right leg. About a month later I had my son that was july2023 . We started chemo. My life took a turn for the worse Oct2023. The chemo I was doing almost killed me. I got neurotoxicity. I wouldn’t wake up no matter what they tried. My family traveled to San Antonio to be with me as we did not know what was going to happen. By some miracle about a week and half later I woke up not fully myself but I woke up. My family brought me home. I only had pain management from then on. Until Feb2024 I decided to give it another try. A different chemo treatment. And this is where we are at now. This is the one working♥️
