Help Us Find a Safe, Mold-Free Home for our 5-Year-Old Niece.
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts and deep hope on behalf of my beautiful sister’s family and their brave 5-year-old daughter, who has been battling a serious and exhausting health condition called nephrotic syndrome.
For the past six months, this sweet little girl has endured daily struggles no child should face — high doses of steroids, immunosuppressants, a painful kidney biopsy, countless doctor visits, and still, no signs of improvement. Her little body is working so hard, and through it all, she continues to smile and show strength beyond her years.
Heartbreakingly, their current home has mold — something we now believe may be contributing to or even worsening her kidney condition. The family has been doing everything they can to fight for her health, but without a safe, mold-free environment, her healing can’t fully begin.
They are now needing to travel frequently to Seattle Children’s Hospital for specialized care, adding more emotional and financial strain to an already difficult situation. These trips require gas, lodging, food, and most importantly, time — meaning more time away from work to be by her side.
We are trying to help them move into a clean, safe home where she can rest, recover, and just be a child again. But as many of you know, rent prices in their area have skyrocketed. They are hoping to relocate to a more affordable area in the near future, but they need time — and support — to make that transition.
This is where we are humbly asking for your help.
Your donation — whether it’s $1 or more — will go directly toward:
• Securing a mold-free home
• Covering moving expenses
• Supplementing rent over the next year while they work to relocate to a more affordable area
• Travel costs to and from Seattle Children’s Hospital
• Supporting the family while they take necessary time off work to care for their daughter
Please consider giving if you’re able, and if you can’t donate at this time, sharing this campaign means the world to us.
From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping give this little girl the safe and healthy home she deserves.
With gratitude,
