Hello everyone,
I am not great at asking for help, but my family and I are going through the most trying time of our lives right now. In April, I was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer at just 33 years old. My world crashed around me. I was angry and bitter. I'm not a smoker and I wasn't before. So why me? Why like this?
I picked myself up and had part of my right lung removed on May 7th, 2025, and the recovery kept me from working. As soon as I was mostly recovered from my surgery, the doctor tells me I am going to need chemotherapy and immunotherapy. On June 6th, I had a portacath placed to start the next steps. Chemotherapy has not been kind to my body and how I am able to function.
During these 2 months, things have moved quickly and my savings have quickly dwindled to nothing. Medical bills are starting to roll in and I just want to keep my family afloat while I get chemo under my belt. This week, I tried to go back to work full-time, but it has been a struggle. I know times are so difficult for everyone right now. I can only promise to pay it forward when I beat this thing out of my life. I will overcome cancer and chemo. Any amount will help keep my bills paid until I can work unaffected again.
