Support Henry's Sensory Walk for Terra Centre

My name is Henry Terrill and I'm fundraising for materials to build a sensory walk at Terra Centre Elementary School in Burke Centre, Virginia. The sensory walk is intended to be an outdoor pathway composed of visual and tactile elements like sand, shapes, and different materials. As students move along the path, they are cued to perform a series of movements to activate different parts of the body and the brain. These stimulate students’ feet or hands, which has a positive impact on their concentration and motor skills. A sensory walk like this can be especially beneficial for students with autism or other sensory issues, and can help with sensory integration, reduce anxiety and stress, improve mood and sleep quality, and enhance social connections.

I am trying to raise $500 to purchase materials for this project, which I hope to complete in the spring of 2025.
