Help the Schluep Family During Henry’s 4-6 Month Recovery

The Schluep Family — my niece Camille, her husband Henry, their two children, and their sweet dog Torrie — are facing one of the most difficult seasons of their lives.

❤️ What Happened

Recently, Henry sustained a serious injury that required surgery and months of therapy and recovery. This injury has left him unable to work at his normal capacity in his regular position. He continues to work as much as possible under the circumstances, but this has greatly diminished his normal income. Financially and emotionally, this has been extremely difficult for a man who has spent his life providing for his family and helping others.

Henry is a veteran and a skilled sheet metal mechanic who takes great pride in his work. He’s always been the type to show up early, stay late, and take care of those around him.

Camille, his wife of 14 years, is a special education teacher in Williamson County. She works tirelessly to support her students — and her family — with patience, love, and grace. Together, they’re raising two wonderful children, both of whom have ongoing medical and dental expenses.

Why They Need Help

This unexpected injury has caused a significant loss of income for the family, as they now face the decision of which bills to pay to manage the household expenses of a mortgage, utilities, groceries and the families medical expenses.

They’re doing everything they can to stay positive and keep life as normal as possible for their children. They have cut the expenses they could, but the weight of financial strain grows heavier each day. And with the holidays approaching, the emotional toll of this season feels even greater.

Their immediate family has done what they could and will continue to help as much as possible, but the need is greater than what we can meet on our own.
