Hi everyone,
My name is Mindy and I’m reaching out to ask for your love, support, and prayers for my sweet, energetic 3.5-year-old nephew, Henry. Henry is currently in the hospital battling a serious and rare condition called Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). This life-threatening illness is a complication following E. coli and affects the blood and kidneys. Henry is now on continuous dialysis to support his kidney function and has already endured a blood transfusion and multiple sedated procedures. This has turned his world—and his family's—completely upside down.
His parents, Megan and Ashlar, have already been through an unimaginably difficult year. While pregnant with Henry’s baby brother, Megan spent two months in the hospital facing serious complications. After Theo was born, he had to stay in the NICU for two months. Just as they were beginning to adjust to life at home as a family of four, this devastating health crisis hit.
Now, they are back in the hospital—this time fighting for Henry’s health. As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll of these back-to-back medical emergencies is overwhelming. Megan and Ashlar are doing everything they can to stay strong and present for their boys, but the stress is enormous.
I am asking for donations to help alleviate the financial burdens that come with extended hospital stays, time off work, travel, and daily living expenses. If you would prefer to send them DoorDash or uber eats while they are in the hospital, you can contact me directly and I’ll facilitate that for them. Your support will allow Megan and Ashlar to focus solely on what matters most: being there for Henry during every moment of this fight.
If you're unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Henry and the entire family in your thoughts and prayers. Every bit of love and support makes a difference.
We can’t thank everyone enough for all the love and support everyone has already shown. We covet your prayers!
