Hello! Our 3 year old French Bulldog, Henry, recently got diagnosed with IVDD. This is Intervertebral Disc Disease and it occurs when a disc in the spine shifts, which causes pain, nerve damage, and paralysis of the back legs. Unfortunately, our sweet boy can no longer eat on his own, go to the bathroom on his own, or use his back legs at all to sit or stand. He is in a lot of pain and considered a paraplegic at this time. The vet and neurologist have recommended that we get the IVDD surgery, which requires a MRI, anesthesia, and two days of post OP care in the hospital. We were quoted 8k+ for the entire process, depending on how the surgery goes. I truly don’t know what I would do if we lost Henry. We hope to be able get him this surgery and provide a happy, healthy, long life. Sadly, we do not have pet insurance, and we were certainly not expecting this to happen. Anything and everything will help us to save Henry. ❤️❤️
