This is Henry. He is just 4 years old (5 next month!) and was recently diagnosed with B-lymphoblastic lymphoma (B-LBL) — a rare and aggressive cancer that affects the immune system. Due to his diagnosis, he is looking at a minimum of 2.5 years of chemotherapy and related treatments. While the road will be long for Henry, the prognosis at his age is favorable! Henry will need ongoing chemotherapy treatments starting with weekly hospital visits, frequent scans, much more that we probably don't know yet, and of course, round-the-clock care and support from his family.
Henry enjoys playing a variety of sports and loves Pokémon (as you can tell by the photo), Minecraft, and anything superhero-related! For the next few years, Henry's life may look a little bit different than another kid's, but everyone is dedicated to doing everything we can to find ways for him to continue doing the things he loves!
As you can imagine, the emotional and financial toll on his parents has been overwhelming. They are both balancing their jobs, travel to and from medical facilities, and the demands of keeping Henry safe and strong throughout this process. Any support we can raise for them could help soften the impact of the extreme costs of medical treatment and allow them to place more focus on Henry's healing.
Our family thanks you from the bottom of our hearts for any donation. Even if you are unable to donate, we thank you for taking the time to read about Henry's story.
(I am organizing this fundraiser for my sister, my brother-in-law, and, of course, Henry.)
