Support Henry To Have a Life Changing Summer

Hi, my name is Henry, and I'm reaching out for your support to help me return to a place that has become my sanctuary and a vital part of my personal growth, the Tan-Ju. For the past two summers Tan-Ju has been more than just a summer camp; it's been a life-changing experience.

Before I found Tan Ju, three years ago I was in quite a dark place. I was dealing with a lot of intense emotions and felt very helpless and often turned to drugs, alcohol and other addictions to distract myself from the pain. I was heading down a destructive path.

Tan Ju completely changed that for me. It gave me a safe space to process a lot of my past trauma and start healing. It's helped me to connect with myself and to find out what I really want in life. Because of Tan Ju, I've been able to stay on track and pursue my dreams, such as helping people my age with mental health challenges as I know how much it has helped me to have this kind of support.

The biggest thing that Tan Ju has helped me with is to be my true and authentic self. I can be vulnerable, I can be honest, and I can be me without feeling judged, especially judging myself which comes from a level of self-love that I didn't know was possible for me.

I have also made friends there the past few years that I speak to every day. They are some of the closest relationships in my life. I believe we will be friends for life and I can’t wait to see them again soon.

What is the Tan-Ju program:

We learn about processing trauma through meditation, dance and connecting to our emotions that have been suppressed by creating a space safe enough to be totally vulnerable with each other and ourselves. I've learnt to open my heart and connect with people on such a deep level and it's in those moments of vulnerability I have found my true self: my heart.

Because I've experienced firsthand the incredible impact Tan Ju can have, I'm so determined to go back for my third year. It's not just a summer program; it's an investment in my future, my well-being, and my ability to live a fulfilling life.

My family isn't in a position to support me financially. I will be able to save £2,100

the total cost is £3000 I am asking for £900 to make it possible for me to go back.
