My father, Henry Copeland Sr., was a quiet, gentle and kind mind. He didn't talk much, but anyone who ever met him would remember his smile and his signature "How ya doing" greeting that he shared when he walked into any room. My father lived a simple life finding joy in simple things such as listening to his oldies and blues music, playing spades and other card games with loved ones. He also loved road trips.

On May 11, 2025, he departed this life after a 12 year battle with Parkinson's Disease. My father who was a proud and private man did not share the extent of his illness with my brother and I until he was already experiencing significant health challenges brought on by his condition. Unfortunately, all of this made it impossible for us to establish life insurance for him. When we discovered that we could not insure him due to his condition, we took comfort in knowing that he did have a policy in which the beneficiary is a woman he had been involved with for years. This woman, who knows my father's final wishes along with the rest of his family decided that she is not going to honor his request. Her plan is to bury my father in a place that he has no family or friends. Nobody who loves him is there. Just her and her family. After numerous conversations where I have cried, begged and pleaded with her to do nothing more than what she said she would, she has flat out said no. My brother and I, along with other members of our family are heartbroken and are trying desperately to right this wrong.

My brother and I are seeking financial assistance to honor our father's final wishes, which is to be buried in his hometown of Monticello Florida, with his mother who preceded him in death as well as other family members.

Any assistance that can be provided will help. Thank you for taking the time to listen.
