Support Henley Family & Baby Jackson
Donation protected
Can you help us with a small donation to support our family during this difficult time?
In late June we were excited to welcome baby Jackson into our family. Soon after he was born, the doctors told us something wasn't right and after several painful weeks we had to have him transferred from Albany up to Atlanta to the Shriner's hospital to receive specialized care for newborns. We found out Jackson has Myotubular Myopathy (a condition that affects the development of motor skills such as sitting, standing, walking, eating and breathing due to muscle weakness) along with Micrognathia and Hypospadia.
This condition will be one that he fights for the rest of his life and will require intensive and invasive medical interventions. At this point, baby Jackson has already been put on a ventilator and has a temporary feeding tube. He is breathing on his own right now and doctors are waiting for him to gain some weight so he can have a permanent feeding tube put in. We are optimistic he will be home soon surrounded by his loved ones.
While fighting for our baby we’ve face significant financial hardships. We've both taken off from work and are struggling to pay for basic necessities for our family. We’re struggling to make ends meet with all our new circumstances and are now down to one income. Household bills are still coming in and on top of that we are adding travel expenses. We have been very fortunate to have such a great support system of friends and family. God has blessed us and continues to do so every day. Any additional help will be appreciated and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers (especially our little Jackson).
Much love to you all,
Travis, Taylor, Brock, Raeghan & Jackson
