Support & Help Christy Hodson-Burt battle Cancer

My brave, beautiful mother has been tirelessly fighting Breast Cancer since 2009. The cancer has now metastasized to her bones, liver, and brain. We are asking for help & financial support in this critical time for her medical treatment, equipment, caregiving, and funeral expense planning. Some of you know my Mom/Christy as a highly-engaging and respected English Teacher at Newbury Park High School. For almost 35 years, she has made a powerful difference in the lives of countless students...brightening the classroom with her kindness, caring spirit, and dedication to providing the best education possible.

Outside of the classroom, she is a loving, devoted, and generous mother to my brother and myself. One of her biggest sources of pride is helping raise her grandson, who counts on her for love, guidance, and encouragement. With a deep passion for all things Hawaiian, 8 years ago, she discovered a talent for hula dancing. Her hula sisters will confirm that it brings her tremendous joy, peace, and happiness.
