Support Helicopter Relief Efforts for Western NC

The people affected by the devastation of Hurricane Helene in Western NC need your help! There has been TREMENDOUS civilian and private aviation response out here and there’s much more to be done!

The team at Mike Balint Heli, who normally support the helicopter pilot influencer, entrepreneur, and North Carolina native, are now working alongside many other civilian operations, including HeliVision, MikeBalintHeli, HeliOps, Total Flight Solutions, and Operation Air Drop to complete search and rescue and essential supply drop helicopter missions in Western NC.

Helicopter operations are very expensive, with the bare operational costs of the smallest useful helicopters being upwards of $400/hr. Right now, this operation is completely funded by the owners, operators, and the generous donations we have received. Due to the unprecedented destruction of roads and infrastructure in these rural areas, helicopters remain the only reliable source of help for many of those affected.

Collectively, the civilian support operations have completed over 1,700 missions and delivered over 1 million pounds of emergency supplies!

Every dollar donated will go directly to the helicopter operations teams supporting the relief efforts in Western NC. This means fuel, support staff shelter, essential supplies, safety equipment, batteries, generators, food, water, ANYTHING that’s helping the community.
