Helen’s Restaurant has been a staple in the town of Bakersville for many years. In 2023 Mary and Donna Stafford bought Helen’s to continue this restaurant’s legacy in Bakersville. Recently the building was condemned due to the flood from Hurricane Helene. Mary and Donna both put their life savings into this restaurant. Hopefully in the future, they will be able to rebuild but unfortunately it will not be in this same building. The building did not have flood insurance, they will need all the help they can get to get back on their feet.
