My friend Helen Cruz is in need of resources and immediate support. Helen is a formerly unhoused advocate in Grants Pass, Oregon who has been an incredible champion in her community and across the country. Helen works cleaning houses that she herself could never afford and spends her free time doing outreach and providing water, supplies, and support to the rest of the unhoused community in Grants Pass.

The past 3 years, Helen and her family have been living out of her local church thanks to the kindness of her pastor. After a change in leadership at the church, Helen and her family are being asked to leave the church before she can ensure they have a safe place to move to. Without available affordable housing or a publicly available shelter that would allow her family to stay together, Helen is again facing homelessness in the town where she grew up.

Helen is the kind of person who always shows up for the people in her life and now she is calling on that same community. Any amount you can contribute to help Helen and her family face the challenges ahead is greatly appreciated.
