Helen Wyatt, my sister, was diagnosed with glioblastoma in January 2025. Since then, she has faced one challenge after another with incredible strength and faith. This brain cancer has caused seizures and taken away her ability to drive, which meant friends and family had to take turns getting her back and forth to Duke hospital for radiation and chemotherapy. After her short-term disability ended, she was also let go from her job, adding even more stress to an already overwhelming situation.

Along this journey, Helen has also dealt with a blood clot, neuropathy, and loss of the use of her left side. Her home is not handicapped accessible, and it has become extremely difficult for her to move around safely. One of the most urgent needs right now is a walk-in shower to help make daily life more manageable. In January 2026, Helen’s MRI showed a new spot of cancer. She has gone through radiation again and is now scheduled for chemo infusions at Duke. Since her first infusion two weeks ago, her brain has become swollen and she is having even more difficulties.

We are asking for help to support Helen and her family with medical bills, groceries, gas for trips back and forth to Duke, sitters, household bills, and the home changes she urgently needs. Cancer is a hard fight, but when people stand together in support, families like Helen’s can keep going. Helen is trusting in her Lord and Savior, and her faith has carried her this far. Thank you for any donation, prayer, or share. God bless.
