Support Helen Martin in Her Time of Need

This GoFundMe is not for me but for my dearest best friend, Helen Martin. I met Helen at a Blue October concert and we immediately connected. Ten years down the road, we are still the best of friends, soul sisters.

Helen is a giving woman. In fact, during a terrible crisis, she sent me money to go see her. I have seen her pay for groceries for neighbors in her apartment complex. I have seen her deliver food to the homeless and even give shelter to some of the most broken-hearted people. This woman would give you the last dollar she had if she knew it was going to help you.

Helen is now having an emergency of her own. She was laid off because the company shut down and was only given a small amount for her last paycheck. Not only that, but her sister died in a terrible car accident and she has had to try to recover from the heartbreak and the fallout and void that her sister left within the family.

Our Blue sister, our friend, and this beautiful human being needs our help. She is trying to keep a roof over her head along with her beloved cat, Esme Moon. She lives in a small 500 sq ft apartment, but being that it is Colorado, the rent is very high and her last paycheck is not even close to covering her rent.

Help us raise $1000, not only for her rent money but also to give her a little cushion to buy groceries and the basic necessities. Both Helen and I have known homelessness, hunger, and need. Please help her keep her apartment. In this weather and the below-freezing temperatures, this has now turned into an emergency. Helen's apartment manager refuses to work with her as they are very strict in their rent payment policy.
